Colleyville

AUG. 9: 6:24 a.m., police were called to a new home in the 3900 block of Heritage Oaks to investigate a burglary, in which thieves stole a Sharp 52-inch TV [$2,500] and damaged a doubled-paned glass door [$500].

10:25 a.m., vandals destroyed nine metal and plastic mailboxes at homes in a five-block areas of Hall-Johnson Road, the 1900 to 2300 blocks. The crime was listed as criminal mischief, $500 to $1,500.

AUG. 11: 7:15 a.m., an employee of Compass Bank, 3920 Glade Road, reported that someone attempted to pull off a night deposit box [$499] from a wall outside the bank.

AUG. 14: 6 a.m., a woman in the 5800 block of Crescent Lane told police that a burglar smashed a passenger window of her 1999 Mitsubishi parked there and stole a Dooney & Bourke purse [$100], containing $30 cash, a credit card, driver’s license, Social Security card and checkbook. All property was recovered, except for the cash.

4:45 p.m., a man and woman in the 5000 block of Camelot Drive reported the theft of their 2004 Hummer H2 [$36,059] from an unlocked garage there. Keys were in the ignition. Less than an hour later, after a radio broadcast from Colleyville police, Hurst officers arrested a suspect, Joshua C. Erwin, 28, driving the vehicle at Texas 26 and Precinct Line Road. He was in Tarrant County Jail Tuesday on $17,500 bond.

Grapevine

AUG. 11: 7:41 a.m., police were called to Trailwood Mobile Home Park, 2800 Mustang, to investigate burglary of a shed and office area, where thieves stole a closed-circuit TV monitor and DVD player [$3,000 total].

4:17 p.m., officers went to the 2500 block of Lonesome Dove, where an empty 2007 flatbed trailer was stolen. The incident was listed as theft of property between $1,500 and $20,000.

AUG. 12: 6:39 p.m., an employee of Jo-Ann Fabrics and Crafts, 1250 William D. Tate, reported that someone stole a HusqvarnaDesigner SE sewing machine displayed near the fabrics [$4,000].

AUG. 13: 6 a.m., 7:51 a.m., a resident told police that vandals knocked over a brick mailbox [$600] in the 2300 block of Lakeridge. Police were called to another report of damage to a mailbox [$50], this time a metal one in the 2500 block of Evinrude.

AUG. 14: 2:48 p.m., a man at Hall’s Boat Storage, 2585 Lonesome Drove, told police that burglars entered his storage shed, stealing a 2006 trailer [$5,000], tools [$1,000], scaffolding [$1,000] and concrete mixer [$2,500]. Police had responded to another trailer theft in the same hundred block on Aug. 11.
