Colleyville Heritage High School will hold its annual Panther Pride Night at 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, in the gym at CHHS, 5401 Heritage Ave., to kick off the upcoming football season.
The event is promoted as "the biggest and best pep rally of the year," and all students, family members and school supporters are invited to attend.
The event will also include a silent auction to raise money for the freshman, junior-varsity and varsity football teams. Last year, more than $8,000 was raised, said Ples Robinson, who is co-chair of the CHHS Football Booster Club silent auction this year.
Groups that will be individually introduced at Panther Pride Night include the football teams, cheerleading squads, marching band, Panteras and Pep Boys.
About 1,000 people are expected to attend the event, said Patti Monger, CHHS Football Booster Club secretary.
"It’s standing room only," she said.
