Colleyville Cinema Grille and IMAX Theatre reopened last week under new management after being closed since January, and Mark Schulman was there welcoming people into the theater.

Teen vandalism has once again increased during the summer, as it does now during most extended school holidays. Incidents range from toilet-papering trees at homes and putting soap in water fountains to more serious incidents including egging cars, spray-painting graffiti, breaking windows, keying vehicles, smashing mailboxes and slashing tires.

The Colleyville Commuter Rail Committee updated the Colleyville City Council during a workshop meeting Tuesday. Several residents spoke on the issue during the citizen comment period at the regular council meeting.

Despite slowing growth in the Grapevine-Colleyville school district, 137 more students than last year are expected in school when classes begin Monday.

Things did not go exactly as hoped for in Grapevine’s opening scrimmage, as they came up short against a stacked Denton Ryan team, but coach Gary Mullins said it is still very early and said the Mustangs will look to get back on track tonight against their old district rival Carroll.

For Grapevine volleyball coach Diane Wilson, the team’s recent home tournament was an opportunity for the Lady Mustangs.

With coaching comes a whole lot of selling. So when Colleyville Heritage coach Mike Fuller had to sell David Muller on coming over to the offensive line from the defensive line, it took some work.
